Finding holiday and vacation jobs.

teens-and-graduatesMany graduates or even teens use their holidays and vacation time to find employment. Often the work helps with savings for a car, university expenses and of course some funny money for social outings and gatherings. Some unfortunate teens will also find themselves job hunting to lend a hand with household expenses at home especially with flailing economies around the world worsening month by month.

Uk minimum wage increase.

minimum-wage-increaseThe escalating food and energy bills are putting pressure on household finances around the world. In the UK it’s just been announced that the minimum wage will rise to £5.73 in October. This is a 3.8% rise from £5.52 - for 18 to 21-year-olds the rate will be £4.77, up from £4.60, while 16 to 17-year-olds will get £3.53, up from £3.40.

Sweet Job.

sweets-employersjobsA 12 year old lands a dream job as a Swizzels Matlow sweet taster! The young Harry will spend the next year sampling sweets after landing a child’s dream job as an official taster for Swizzels Matlow.  Harry, from, Essex, beat thousands of hopefuls to be taken on by the confectionery firm for the next 12 months.

Mexican swine flu and rising unemployment - is it time for panic?

 mexican-swine-fluUnemployment in Britain will continue to rise for at least another three years, according to a leading economic consultancy, as official figures out on Wednesday are expected to show another large jump in the number of jobless. Akin to the Mexican swine flu outbreak the rise in unemployment seems pandemic at best - however it is also wise to draw similarities between the media sensationalism and illogical fears that both the unemployment crisis, and the Mexican swine flu outbreak, have encouraged.
