Job Websites for employers!

Advice from the experts.Following my last blog post “Employers, what we want from a job board?” I thought this may be of use to help you find the best job websites for employers. For a job board to be effective and deliver the best results for you and your business, it must attract the most relevant jobseekers looking for jobs like yours and employers like you.

The best way to find these is to imagine a jobs website to be a normal shop, Google is their High Street.

In the most recent Hitwise report on the UK’s Leading Search Engines, Google as a whole secured a WHOPPING 90.32% of the whole UK Search Volume! (Source - Hitwise - December, 2008 - based on volume of searches.) If you cannot find a jobs website in Google - you can be pretty sure the jobseekers that are looking for jobs or employers like you, can’t either.

“76% of the UK’s job seekers use the internet to find their next job.” (Noras Survey April 2008).  It’s really that simple, if you can’t find the “online job shop”, how are 76% of the UK job seekers supposed to? Have a go yourself.  Go to Google and search for the term “job websites for employers” for ease click that link of if you’ve got 20-20 vision, look at the screen shot below

Google Print Screen

As you can see there is a HUGE amount of competition with over 331,000 websites competing for the term  “job websites for employers”.  EmployersJobs.com ranks twice, position No.1 & No.2 in the natural listings and you can also see all of the other “big boys” in the paid search results including Monster, Reed, Jobsite & TotalJobs.

In my last blog I explained how it’s the Recruitment Agency’s No.1 job to find candidates, and the best place to find these are by advertising on the best performing jobs websites. Naturally then, it’s every job website’s No.1 job to make sure they are THE most visible in Google so as to attract the best jobseekers for you, maximize your job awareness and secure your employer brand.

Use Google as a research tool and you can be sure before you spend.  If you find a site, there’s a very good chance the jobseekers you are trying to attract will also!

Remember, it’s still free to post your jobs www.EmployersJobs.com.
